• Forestella - Hijo de la Luna

On this occasion we bring you a performance that everyone should see at least once in a lifetime. It is a presentation that contains everything, a world renowned song, an unforgettable arrangement, an exquisite instrumentalization and a formidable interpretation full of technique and color. This presentation belongs to the open concert performed on May 24, 2020 by the group Forestella.

Forestella is a is a South Korean vocal quartet formed in 2017 during the final stages of the second season of JTBC channel's Phantom Singer program which they ended up taking first place and made their official debut on March 14, 2018 with the album Evolution.

The group stands out for two main points, firstly between the four members they cover all vocal ranges from Bass to Soprano allowing them to create some very fine harmonies in which each voice register has its space by which they can be distinguished and at the same time appreciated as a whole. And secondly, the great variety of music that they interpret making crossover of musical genres.

This is how we arrive at this presentation in which the theme is the legendary song "Hijo de la luna" by the Spanish group Mecano, a song that has been covered in many languages and countries. In this version of the song, originally a pop ballad in Spanish, has an instrumental arrangement that combines a waltz and opera style and interpreted in Korean language. Each sound has its space to shine while contributing to a harmonious sound as a whole.

The performance throughout the song is impressive, playing with different singing, delivery and interpretation techniques as well as the transitions between the different vocal ranges make it full of color all the time.

We leave you with the video for your enjoyment.
