The Miteco singer-songwriter has unveiled his new single "Canción para un pueblo dormido". This is the artist's second single so far this year after releasing "Reencuentro" last May.
Canción para un pueblo dormido is not just another song about politics, it is not an attempt to blame the upper classes for social problems, canción para un pueblo dormido tries to be a proactive song, encouraging us to turn to look at the corners that we ourselves have forgotten the most, encouraging us to break the social bubble that we have created without realizing it and which has distanced us more and more from our humanity. Canción para un pueblo dormido is a desire to see our peoples' ambition to leave no one behind and to wake up to lift the disaster we have created.Sounds borrowed from rock and a flirtation with "Son Guatemalteco" accompany the lyrics of this song.
The video was recorded by Adriel Tobar and Jorge Lucero in the village of "Los Amates" belonging to Asunción Mita. This video also has material generously provided by the Mancomunidad Trinational Fronteriza del Río Lempa.
