The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States announced the artists, recordings and songs that were nominated for the Grammy Awards to be presented on February 5 in Los Angeles, California.
This awards gala had changes in several categories, Best Alternative Music Performance, Best Americana Performance, Best Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media, Best Spoken Poetry Album and Non-Classical Songwriter of the Year. Some new rules for the ceremony were also announced.
