With the song titled "Stefania" the Ukrainian band became the winner of the 2022 edition of the European song festival.
After the presentation of each of the participating countries, and musical interventions by hosts Laura Pausini and Mika, the first round of voting by the judges began, leaving the Ukrainian band behind the United Kingdom, Sweden and Spain.
The televote was totally decisive for Kalush Orchestra receiving 439 votes placing them in first place with 631 votes and an unassailable lead that made them the winners of the night.
The song Stefania is a tribute to the mother of Oleh Psiuk (founder of the band), who heard the song for the first time when she saw her son's group compete in the Ukrainian Eurovision pre-selection. The song is composed with Ukrainian folk sounds and instruments fused with rap and modern sounds, as well as its presentation with traditional costumes, colorful backgrounds and lighting, giving a whole experience to the viewer.
