• Gaby Moreno: the Guatemalan artist wins a Latin Grammy as Producer

There is no doubt that the talented artist born in Guatemala City still has many facets that will never cease to amaze us. To date, Gaby has released 4 albums and an EP. In 2013 she won her first Latin Grammy as "Best New Artist", being the first Guatemalan woman to win this award. During her career she has also accumulated some important recognitions: "John Lennon" songwriting contest award, favorite Indie artist at the "America Latino TV" awards and the Los Angeles Cornet Woman in Music award in 2012.

Her work as a producer began years ago in small but very special projects. In 2013 she worked with Hugh Laurie in the recording of the cover songs Kiss on Fire and The Weed Smoker Dreams, songs that are part of Laurie's album "Didnt in Rain". Later on, she collaborates with David Garza in the song "Sad Moon" as well as being the producer of her own album "Ilusión".

During the last year Moreno produced the album "VIDA" for the renowned Cuban singer Omara Portuondo with whom they managed to capture in a beautiful album of traditional Latin music everything that the Cuban singer is in essence and for which the 24th edition of the Latin Grammy Awards has given her her first Latin Grammy as a music producer. Gaby was even able to go up to receive the award accompanied by Portuondo's granddaughter.

From Oranshnote we deeply congratulate Gaby Moreno for her recent achievements, there is no doubt that she still has a lot to show us as an artist.
