The 65th Grammy Awards took place on February 6 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, and it was a night full of surprises and emotions for the nominated artists and the public in general.
This time, "Beyonce" is again the star of the show, becoming the singer with the most gramophone wins in history. The most outstanding awards are "Harry's House, Harry Styles" as album of the year. "About Damn Time, Lizzo" recording of the year, "Just Like That, Bonnie Raitt" song of the year, a surprising but interesting "Samara Joy" who appears as "Best New Artist" taking also the gramophone for "Best Jazz Vocal Album".
Adele wins "Best Pop Solo Performance" for "Easy on Me", Beyonce wins "Best Recording - Best Dance Album" for her album "Break My Soul" and Plastic Off the Sofa wins "Best Traditional R&B Performance".
Although rock and metal are no longer part of the TV show, the awards in these categories were won by the legendary Ozzy Osborn. Best Metal Performance for Degradation Rules and Best Rock Album for Patient Number 9. Ozzy could not be present at the gala and was represented by producer and musician Andrew Watt and Robert Trujillo, bassist of Metallica, who plays on the song Degradation Rules. Both were in charge of taking the stage to collect the awards.
Latin Americans are also part of this award ceremony and several of these awards are not very surprising: Rubén Blades (Best Latin Pop Album), Bad Bunny (Best Urban Music Album), Rosalía (Best Alternative Music Album), Natalia Lafurcade (Best Regional Mexican Music Album), Marc Anthony (Best Latin Tropical Album). On the other hand, the most awarded Score of the night is for the movie "Encanto" with three Grammys "Best Song (We don't talk about Bruno), Best Score for Visual Media and Best Soundtrack".
