• 64TH GRAMMY AWARDS CEREMONY 2022

    On Sunday, April 3, the 64th edition of the Grammy Music Awards took place, a great celebration for music, with nominees including singer-songwriters with long musical careers, as well as young people who are just starting out in music.

    Among them was Jon Batiste, who was the biggest winner, taking home 5 gramophones out of 11 nominations, in the categories of Best Album of the Year for We Are, Best Soundtrack for the film Soul, Best Performance and Best American Roots Song for Cry.

    Another outstanding artist of the night was Olivia Rodrigo. At 19 years old, she was the second artist with the second highest number of nominations, winning 3 awards out of the 7 categories in which she participated: Best Pop Vocal Album (Sour), Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Vocal Performance (Drivers License).

    As if that wasn't enough this is her first time at the Grammys. Olivia Rodrigo made her acting debut in 2020, in the Disney Channel series High School Musical: The Series. Then, she jumped to fame with her single Drivers License from her album Sour through her social networks.

    "This is my biggest dream coming true," said Olivia Rodrigo upon receiving her award for Best New Artist.

    For rock lovers, the band Foo Fighters won in every category for which they were nominated, with their three Grammy Awards going to: Best Rock Performance for "Making A Fire," Best Rock Song for "Waiting On A War" and Best Rock Album for "Medicine At Midnight." The band was not present to receive their awards, as they cancelled their attendance due to the recent passing of their drummer Taylor Hawkins.

    Another winner of the night, for country music lovers, was Chris Stapleton, who won all three awards for which he was nominated: Best Country Album for Starting Lover, Best Country Song for Cold and Best Country Solo Performance for You Should Probably Leave.
