Kate Bush in a statement says "You may have heard that the first part of the fantastic and gripping new 'Stranger Things' series recently premiered on Netflix," Bush wrote in a statement on her website. "It includes the song, 'Running Up That Hill,' which young fans who love the show are giving a new lease on life - I love it too!"
The singer-songwriter added: "Because of this, 'Running Up That Hill' is in the charts all over the world and has entered the UK charts at number 8. It's all really exciting! Thank you so much to everyone who has supported the song. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the series in July".
"Running Up That Hill", the lead single from Bush's 1985 album Hounds of Love, is the soundtrack to the story of Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink), who is still recovering from the death of a family member, in the fourth season of Stranger Things, which premiered on 27 May.
